Now Fox News has always been shaky. Plenty of the Bret Baier types. Rupert Murdoch is 94 and has turned Fox News over to his kids, mainly his Son who is a rabid Leftist. It's gonna turn hard Left and it will be interesting to see what happens to the right of center hosts that are employed by Fox.

Wayyyyyyyyyy back I jumped up and down yelling from the roof top that Paul Ryan was a fraud, a RINO neocon and a danger to those right of center.....

I was laughed at and told to go buy more aluminum foil.

Hopefully, you kept your budget in check when buying the tinfoil.

From a business standpoint, they'd be foolish to become just another leftist MSM outlet. Right now they have half the country as a potential and actual audience with many advertisers whose message is geared to that audience. Why kill the golden goose?

Because conservatives give them the Ick, and they are willing to kick that goose out the window for their fee-fees. After all, the Murdoch kids already have money. Unlike their dad, who had to acquire money.

Time will tell......

That's the beauty of it. If nothing happens - or things get better, you can claim "time will tell." Hell, I look at the "Stonxsuck" thread. How many YEARS has that gone on??? The market is WAY beyond any claim of crashing. And even if it fell by 25% this year, it would still be WAY ahead of where it was back when the thread started.

As far as this "junket," I was listening to Freakanomics last week. Jessica (formerly Brian) Reidl. Bright, um, person. Said that Congressional bipartisan meetings are happening on budget issues but they DO NOT WANT IT GETTING OUT because "they are sleeping with the enemy" to a lot of constitichuntz.

Which is stupid.

I think this is the start of a new wave of politics to move back to center and become more sensible. Biden is a disaster for this country, but so is Trump.

Now, as far as the BurpFart article itself:

A group of people from DC come in and talk with Fox. Can't care. Talk with WSJ? I think that's great. The thing about the Journal is that it wants to talk to EVERYONE. Not just those who "agree" with them. Even better, they aren't going to side with a R policy or person if htey think they are all wet. Nor are they going to agree or disagree with a Dem based on who they are.

So a semi-bipartisan group comes to see the WSJ??? Seems like a worthy conversation. Not seeing hte problem here. Sensible people listening to politicians. And then they'll make thier call later. As they've always done.

fox news is really weak on actual journalism lately.
i am pretty pro trump, but had to turn off some of the blatant pandering i saw recently on the morning show. its like they were just zombies parroting MAGA talking points.

i miss the days when hannity shared a show with coumbs, and there was give and take, instead of all one sided "news"

Remember, the WSJ is owned by Rupert Murdoch.....for now.....
Not an issue. They are sane and focused on common sense business issues. They have consistently followed that path for my entire adult life, probably longer.

They happily call out the idiocy, inconsistencies, and incompetence of both political parties. There is plenty to skewer. Their default setting is pro-capitalism, pro-USA, and pro-business. They also like to talk about annoying topics like the federal budget deficits, entitlement programs and taxes.

In the stone ages, CNNs crossfire was a great show. Hard ass conservatives debating with hard ass liberals. Really smart people on both sides of an issue having a great conversation. No screaming, no memes, no partially informed, rabid and twitchy peanut gallery on either side.
