Four dead in Ohio

Remember your history and what your gubbermint is capable of.
jesus mr. twigg, are we suppose to remember every historical fact? i can google today in history as well as anyone. osama bin laden was killed on this date.

From a bad gov't perspective that was a pitiful bodycount. Anyway it was a Boomer event not a monumental event. It is only noteworthy to those who were tripping when they first heard the story. Early genX might be aware of it no one else knows or cares nor should they.

Uhhh...

A government entity opening fire on people exercising 1A? And nobody should care.

Okay.

Gov't done worse since then. Just this week the gov't beat people up for exercising their 1A. Those people are still in power. Four dead fifty years ago, unfortunate, but yeah no one should care because this one happened when the Boomers were young and they made a pop song out of it.

The earlier protests had been violent, the ROTC building had been burnt down two days day before.

That said, the protesters weren't armed, and the closest person to get shot was 71 feet from the guardsmen, those killed were from 265 feet to 345 feet away.

I joined the N.Y. Guard in 1977. For the first few years, riot training was the thing. The old timers pointed out that after Kent State, sit-ins and protests declined greatly.
