This is a perfect example of why we need REAL immigration reform.
If a mexican wants to come here to work, they should be able to legally.
Ground rules
1) No public assistance
2) learn english and pass a test in 5 years or you go back
3) become a citizen in 5 years or you go back
4) put enough resources on it so if you pass a background check you can get a work visa within 6 months.
5) no right to free travel within the USA. You go where we tell you to go. We send them where they are needed so they don't all end up in AZ, UT, CT and TX.
By providing legal access to the american dream to these people we can drastically change the rules of engagement at the border.
If poor Juan who just wants a piece of the American dream can get here legall in 6 months, he won't come here illegally.
That means we can allow law enforcement and citizens to shoot on sight anyone caught crossing the border, since illegal crossings will pretty much only be criminals who couldn't get here legally and drug mules.
Problems solved.
I saw this video months ago... Where are the young people in that town with some real firepower? I don't get it

Well, seeing that a bunch of those walkers are drug mules and cartel operatives no I don't see your point. I know the situation sucks for the average Mexican, but as long as they can just walk here there is no reason to stay and take care of business in Mexico. They only walk over the border because there is very little risk. Increase the risk, and they just might say "there is nowhere to go, I guess we have to fix our own problems" The US has enough problems already. Your logic is the same kind of progressive socialist claptrap that is bringing down our whole nation. Those poor people, it's not their fault, you can't blame these poor people, just give us more of your money and we will take care of them - so we will sacrifice our own security for some false sense of guilt? The situation in Mexico and the suffering there does not justify allowing a completely porous border. The progressives love it because they use it to justify increasing the welfare state in order to further consolidate their power effectively buying the votes of illegal aliens and poor people. This is the driving force behind Obamacare and Amnesty. They did it in California, and they are trying to do it in Texas to break the back of any conservative opposition, and they are trying to do it on a national scale with Amnesty. Your false guilt is used against you - after all, you don't live on the border, and most people don't, so it is easy for you to just accept the pain of your fellow American Citizens who are living in fear every day of their lives. But that is OK, because those poor Mexicans just want a safe place to live and just want to defend their families...
I agree with no public assistance but then again I agree with no public funding for a lot of things. But the english thing is kid of tough considering have no official language as a country and that was an intentional doing by our founders. As for the rules of engagement thing at the border that sounds great until law abiding american citizens that are latino start getting shot because people think they aren't supossed to be there. There are people in the us who have had family here for generations that came from mexico who I am sure wouldn't want to be profiled like anyone who sounded arabic was a terroristThis is a perfect example of why we need REAL immigration reform.

no, not different at all I have been an electrician for 11 years and the people who come up from south of the border(they aren't all Mexican there are a lot of other countries they come from)are hard workers. There are a lot of people who don't like people coming up from the border because they are harder working than some of the crap workers we have here. Not that we don't have good workers here too but if more hard workers move in then there will be less room for the dead weight. I am not saying that everyone who comes over the border is a saint and hard worker but I wont say they are all bad drug smugglers either. And as for the citizen thing There are not supposed to be any citizens in this country period if you go by the definition. Citizen-1.A person owing loyalty to and entitled by birth or naturalization to the protection of a state or nation. That first part about owing something to someone else from birth goes directly against freedom and then there is the entitlement word too. I prefer to think of myself as a person not really defined by any label or definition. But in a true free world there is no citizen because you owe nothing to the state.Glockstones. Part of the details around the rules of engagement would most likely involve a no-mans land on the american side of the border. You could have signs in english and spanish and whatever saying "turn back now, you will be shot" or whatever.
Again, this would make things BETTER for most mexicans in America because once they became citizens, they would be invested in this country. It wouldn't just be a place to go to make money.
Whats funny to me is that in my experience in CT, the illegals for the most part were very hard workers who did things that most Americans didn't want to do. Or couldn't do.
I did construction every summer from sophmore in hs through my senior year in college. I worked for the same guy the whole time. We're now good friends. He tells me that the college kids these days aren't worth crap. They may lift weights, but they can't carry a bundle of shingles up a ladder. They want their asses kissed. If lunch is 30 minutes, they don't understand why being 5 minutes back is a problem.
The guys at the lumber yard tell him how hard the illegal Peruvians work. Good family people who show up on time, even if it means taking a bus at 6:00 am, because they aren't just working for beer money. They're working to feed their family. He's about ready to pull the trigger on hiring illegals next summer. He's upset that he can't hire Americans as laborers who actually want to work.
I guess this is different from other people's experience. But my encounters with illegals who worked in the construction trades has been universally positive.
There are 1700 people in FH, 3300 people in all of Hudspeth County (roughly 3/4 the size of MA). The kids haul ass as soon as they get old enough to go. You got no idea what that place is like. It's West Texas desert and the nearest anything is 55 miles away in El Paso. My ranch is 17 miles North and when I leave FH I don't see another human being until I return to FH. There is nothing there except mesquite bushes and dirt.
Thats good. Plenty of room to bury the bodies. You can shoot the drug runners with a suppressed rifle at night and no one will be the wiser. They will eventually get the message.
You don't want to get in a firefight with the cartel people. You'll be out gunned and out numbered. It won't go well for you.

But I have a AR and a plates and carrier and other tacti tools . I have also seen tons videos on youtube and play COD . You got it right brother . Half the wanna bes cant even start a fire let alone patrol for a few days in the desert .
I think we should give MRAPS , M240's and 2000 rounds per month to the border citizens and permission to just shoot anything coming across the border. Problem solved in about a month, at a cost far less than what the idiots in the BATFE sting operations wasted...
Until citizens start taking matters into their own hands - like shooting border jumpers - you can expect the Fed to continue to ignore the needs of red states.
and shame on the governor too. Last I checked the national guard is under his purview...
