If it is indeed a de facto "open season". Why haven't people from other areas done "more" to stop the influx.

I think we should give MRAPS , M240's and 2000 rounds per month to the border citizens and permission to just shoot anything coming across the border. Problem solved in about a month, at a cost far less than what the idiots in the BATFE sting operations wasted...

Hmm......looking for a nice place to visit for a week or so in the Spring. I wonder if there's reciprocity for one of my many permits I hold? I've got to believe that there are a number of 'tourists' in Hancock after that report.

Only problem with that is, are you willing to shoot in both directions? Remember "The Minutemen"? That group that built fence along the border and monitored other places? They caught all kinds of hell from the Feds - for doing a job that should have already been done.
Now, if we are serious about a field trip, let's do it. We can convoy down, bring our gear and provide those folks some relief, after all, you can't be in continuous operations without relief.
I think we should stop making the deal of a lifetime offers to people stricken in poverty. Can you really blame the Mexican citizen for wanting to come here? It is not their fault don't fall into the trap that the government wants you to fall into. Think of it like this we can't stand when the liberals blame the gun for killing someone when it is really the operator who has done the killing. Well in this case of the "illegal" they are the gun and congress is the trigger man blame and take out your differences on them as they have created this situation. If any of you can honestly tell me that if you lived in a country where people got decapitated and murdered on a daily basis that you wouldn't break the law to protect your family then you are a liar. These are just desperate people trying to look out for their kids and our government has promised them the deal of a lifetime on our dime. It is congress who is to blame as they gave the opportunity to someone who is not in a million years going to turn it down because the alternative just may cost their family their life. And as for the other ones coming over the border via the drug trade and human trafficking you can still blame our government because again through the wonders of prohibition we have given the cartels an open and burgeoning market in which to make trillions of dollars. And the government is not in any hurry to stop them as they run the prisons that all of the addicts and dealers wind up at. Which the government gets paid handsomely by us the tax payer to run and keep open to put us in. So don't be so quick to blame them as they are just using the device that the government meant for them to use.

and our government will stop at nothing to allow them to continue to bring drugs in. The war on drugs is an annual program that makes the gov trillions.

Well, seeing that a bunch of those walkers are drug mules and cartel operatives no I don't see your point. I know the situation sucks for the average Mexican, but as long as they can just walk here there is no reason to stay and take care of business in Mexico. They only walk over the border because there is very little risk. Increase the risk, and they just might say "there is nowhere to go, I guess we have to fix our own problems" The US has enough problems already. Your logic is the same kind of progressive socialist claptrap that is bringing down our whole nation. Those poor people, it's not their fault, you can't blame these poor people, just give us more of your money and we will take care of them - so we will sacrifice our own security for some false sense of guilt? The situation in Mexico and the suffering there does not justify allowing a completely porous border. The progressives love it because they use it to justify increasing the welfare state in order to further consolidate their power effectively buying the votes of illegal aliens and poor people. This is the driving force behind Obamacare and Amnesty. They did it in California, and they are trying to do it in Texas to break the back of any conservative opposition, and they are trying to do it on a national scale with Amnesty. Your false guilt is used against you - after all, you don't live on the border, and most people don't, so it is easy for you to just accept the pain of your fellow American Citizens who are living in fear every day of their lives. But that is OK, because those poor Mexicans just want a safe place to live and just want to defend their families...
