Me and some friends from college began going on a yearly fishing trip when we were sophomores. We graduated 5 years ago and have went on a fishing trip every year. Well this year it was more difficult for everyone to get on the same page with take days off to go so we are now looking to just do a camping trip in Vermont in Dec. We were going to rent a cabin and do some winter hiking and shooting as i was going to bring my ar. I looked and i know that all i have to do is transport it unloaded in a locked container in the trunk. Were not going to be hunting but when we are out in the woods i did plan on having it slung over my shoulder in case we came across any big wildlife that would pose a danger to us. Is there an issue with the ar just being slung over the shoulder while hiking?
