like ford myself, always drove full sized broncos, last one being a '96 bought new. like the looks of the new bronc but it's a mid size i guess. never liked the bronco II's. kinda like the audi tt of trucks, a chicks rig. driving a 2013 f250 6.2 now. making a glorious 10.6 mpg. i didn't see what power plants ford was offering in this.

They haven't released any specs yet so who knows what kind of muscle this will/won't have.

I'm willing to bet a few clams that it's on the new Ranger chassis coming out 2019

i do like that raptor front grill work. if the truck is built on a ranger frame it will scaled down i expect. i hope that's not the new front end for the whole truck line, though. it was special on the raptor, now they'll need to redesign that.

They've already redesigned the grills from last years redesign.

Let me check my GPS
I bought a brand new Ford Bronco in 1975. Paid $4100 for it. Had the 302 cu. in. V8 and Dana running gear/transfer case with 4.11 gears. Drove it from Shreveport, LA to Marquette, MI where I beat the crap out of it for 6 years. Logging roads, crossing streams, through "rock gardens" and snow up to mid door. Temps from 100 degrees to -55 degrees. After beating on it for 6 years in the UP, I drove it back to Shreveport towing a Toyota Corolla. Dropped the Toyota off and drove on to Ft. Hancock, TX. I traded it for a PU in Ft. Hancock. Never had a minutes trouble with it.

If the new ones are as good as the one I had, I'd definitely take a look at it.

It won't be. I had an '85 I bought used. Awful on gas (expected) but the 302 was straight up anemic for the economy it returned. Had to rev it and hold it at 2500RPM to get the diverter valve open to pass for emissions every year. Then the back glass rusted out of the regulator and smashed. Tailgate rusted. Fenders rusted. Quarters rusted. Hood rusted through near the latch. Radiator supports rusted. Gas tank rusted through. About the only thing that didn't rust was the top, and only because it was chalky white fiberglass that leaked at the gasket. Did I mention it rusted?

I'd like one, but not at 50k on a ranger chassis

I'll bet that there will be three or four options.
EcoBoosted V6 or a I6
A V8 and a SVT version V8

And they will cost north of $45k. Seriously, how do American mfg's compete? Who buys a $50k Explorer, Mustang, or a $75k F150???

Now we have to wait for specs. I'm not a Ford guy, but I LOVE Broncos.
You do realize, that the pic was a fan rendering of what it might look like based on the Raptor design, and not an actual representation of what the Bronco will be. They've issued no pictures or specs on what the actual Broncos going to be in '20.

Who reads the actual articles anyways?

We had a Bronco II in the family at one point. It was fun enough driving around as a teenager, but I always thought having only 2 doors was a pain in the ass. Having only 2 on a full sized one just seems stupid, but I never dealt with one. For those who have some experience, did it work as a coupe?

Have had both Bronco and Bronco II, liked them both. Sure will be interesting to see what it really will look like though.

Right behind you.
Too bad it doesn't have a solid front axle. Then it would be bad ass!!
^this.

It will be some fagged out version of it's former self. Unibody piece of shit pretending to be a truck.

They should just do it right with a beast of a V8 engine, solid front dana 60 axles and a super low transfer case, and heavy duty shocks and springs. They won't though. It will be a ford edge that just looks cool.
