A bit dry, but very interesting. I find it noteworthy that one of the sources cited was Amitai Etizioni, the George Washington University professor who penned the recent Huffpo op-ed calling for domestic disarmament. Seeing how this dissertation was written in 1997, you can see how tenaciously these antis hold on.

Yes, history is almost always pretty dry to read, thats why so many people tend to ignore it, remain ignorant of it, and repeat it....over and over and over again.

Entizioni would have made a good Funktionshäftling.

Among a new class of legal scholars supporting the 2nd amendment that burst on the scene in the late 80s/early 90s, Don Kopel has probably been one of the most influential out of all of them. However, Kates, Hardy, Halbrook, Cramer, et al, were also very influential.
