For those wanting to go tor four seasons

The vaccine that prevents contracting or spreading covid? That vaccine?

C'mon, man.
I’m not going to debate efficacy and all that, but the bottom line is, a treatment is available.
So if a treatment is available, why putting up plastic shields, face masks, social distancing, and encouraging customers in a GUN STORE to conceal their facial identity? It’s madness.

If you’re that afraid of the virus, just stay inside and don’t come out. Otherwise, life goes on.

Great Sheep reply. C'mon Man, don't fall for the panic porn like a teenage girl. Love the tards that are shitting their panties faster than Biden at the Pope's....over a "variant" that has symptoms like a mild cold. "A day or two of muscle aches, and a mild cough". The whole covid scam it the epitome of a Statist takeover of the country, and a lot of sheep here are eating it up.
I was kidding. Take it easy buddy.

And yes. I mostly agree with you. And know more about infectious disease/sequencing than I'm allowed to say online.

That being said. Get a vaccine if you want, dont get a vaccine for all I care. And if Carl wants to send everyone home out of an abundance of caution, its his right to do so. If he wants to plexiglass the entire store and only sell super soakers, he's free to do so. And if Noone wants to shop there, guess what...

There are no studies to show that plexiglass is effective at reducing virus spread. In fact, it was never CDC recommendation.

Ar four seasons, someone was exposed. Not tested positive, not even having the slightest symptoms. Aand, there's a vaccine out. Yup, shut the whole place down. 👏
So what?

At least the business is not being a d*ck about it.

They are not asking people to wear masks or show proof of vaccination.

Maybe the plexiglass doesn't do sh*t. Maybe it has to do with liability? ... or maybe it is just to make a few people feel "safe".

But the most important part is they are not being d*cks about it to customers.

Ya, but last week they did have a guy at the door taking names and writing them down for the contact trace BS.

May be local pressure. As a point of contrast I dont remember seeing any of that shit at Cabelas, but as far as MA goes Cabelas might as well be physically located on another
planet. The way people act vs Covid inside the loop versus outside the loop is pretty dramatic, in terms of the shit wobblies do. Like you go into loop towns and there are still people wearing masks fully deployed, WHILE OUTSIDE etc. In NoCentMA at least people are more likely to pull the stupid thing down when they step outside.

It's worse than you think.

Was up in Maine for Turkey Day at my brother in laws. He lives about 10 miles outside of Augusta. I was shocked by the number of sheeple wearing masks. It was freaking crazy.

I stopped at KTP and LL Bean. I'd say around 60 to 70% wearing masks. No surprises there. LL Bean had large sign requesting, but not mandatory, people to wear masks. All help wearing masks. Cabela's in Scarborough was maybe 40%. All help wearing masks.

Local diner in Augusta. I bet 60% + of people coming in were wearing masks. All the help was wearing masks.

Local restaurant/bar in Hallowell (just outside of Augusta). No masks on anyone.

Spoke with some of the locals at a few places. My impression is vaccine rate up there is significantly less than around here.

Baaaa, baaaa. Yes, I shop and buy at 4 Seasons. But, I have the sense to go only when they are not crazy busy. I recognize that Carl needs the volume to keep his margins low, and I'm ok with that. He is also a LGS, offers a LOT of selection, and the service is actually very good given what and who they have to deal with.
