My only dilema is xbox 360 or pc version. On the one hand you just can't beat the couch and big tv, on the other hand the pc version will probably have mods so eventually more content.
Probably will end up with the 360 version, that is how I went with Oblivion and KOTOR.

Dammit. Now I might have to upgrade my desktop PC. Fallout 2 was one of my favorite games of all time. I didn't know 3 was actually coming out.

Did you pre-order? I didn't and I am looking at gamestop and they still show it as pre-order shipping today. I might try to go at lunch time if they are selling them to non pre-order people.
I pre-ordered, you probably won't have a hard time picking one up. I'm sure they shipped a whole bunch of these to the stores.

Definitely going to get it after my CPA exam next month.
Fallout 1 and 2 was the best RPG game ever!

I heard that Fallout 3 is like Oblivian except with guns (very different from the original series)

I'm intrigued. I have played the earlier games a little and enjoyed what I played. I haven't been following Fallout 3 so wasn't planning on it. Maybe I should put it on my Christmas list. [smile]

I just got BioShock. Not sure that my rig will work with Fallout. I only want to play it if I can have most of the settings on high.

Picked up the 360 version at lunch time [smile]

Just need more free time, I had intended to play through FO1 and 2 before this came out but I only got 1/2 way through the first one.

Sorry for getting a little off topic, but...
Probably will end up with the 360 version, that is how I went with Oblivion....
Bad choice IMO. I have the PC version and 360 version. PC blows the 360 version away. There's mods, secret locations, and a HUGE amount of potential for extra stuff.

Back on topic. I might get Fallout3 as well. Hearing good things, athough it just came out, so it might just be all hype. [thinking]

The game is fantastic. I played about 9 hours yesterday, haven't even touched the main storyline really, just been doing side quests and exploring. The best description I've heard of the game so far is that it is "Oblivion with guns". Pick it up, you won't be sorry.

I couldn't play Tuesday night but stayed up way past bedtime playing last night. I really like it so far but I do miss the top down isometric view of the old games. I do like the VAT system.
