I'm considering purchasing my first handgun this weekend. I'm quite interested in buying an FNP-45. A friend of mine has one, and I've put around 100 rounds through it. I think it's a great gun, fits well in my hand, I'm comfortable with it, and the price works. A coworker showed me the Glock 21 as an alternative, and I plan on hunting one down to see how much I like it.
So, that leads me to my question -- What are the communities experiences with the FNP-45? I haven't seen a FTF or FTE after several hundred rounds, save for a specific reload that my friend screwed up.
My intentions with it are only to use it for familiarizing myself with pistol marksmenship and for home defense. I do not intend on CC until I've become more confident with my abilities to put rounds on target safely and consistently.
