Gen II G19. Zero issues, thousands of rounds down range. Even shit steel and aluminum stuff. My EDC whenever possible. Shot EVERY_TIME I got to the range
Gen II G21. Zero issues, thousands of rounds from this one too.

S&W 617. 6". Just fun to shoot. Zero issues, even with Golden Bullets.

Browning HP. Just silky to shoot. Too heavy to carry, but no hiccups, ever

Is it possible your grip interfered with the slide and/or slide lock?

No, but I may have pressed on the mag release enough for the mag to drop slightly. It happened twice when firing my Kahr P9. I was hitting the mag release and the mag dropped. I have big hands.

I know ya'll gonna laugh, but (along with many of the guns mentioned) I have an 80s Taurus .357 mag wheel gun that is still tight as a drum and is a tackdriver. Pile on
