Fix mag lower post 8/1 in MA

Hi, used to get one fix mag lower when first received LTC. Just curious that for fix mag lower(for example JC Arms or something similar)obtained pre 8/1, is it legal to remove the fix mag and add whatever features after 10/22 since it will be grandfathered?

If an ASF was lawfully possessed on 8/1 in Mass then it will be exempt once the new laws becomes active.
