Okay, so this is a 2 part story.

Part one: In early June I took my almost 12 year old son camping for a couple of days at Pawtuckaway State Park in Nottingham, NH. We did well, catching a lot of bass, pickerel, and a perch. But the highlight was when Dad pulled in this 5lber.

Part two: This week we returned to Pawtuckaway Lake with the family, renting a cottage this time.

Day one, Dad applies the pressure and lands a 5lb 8oz large mouth.

Two days later my son Nick thinks he's got me beat when he pulls in this nice 3lb 4oz fish.

...and then 20 minutes later he pulls in another one:

5 lbs 4oz! I'd say that's close enough. Same lake, same cove, same bait, same company. Gotta love it. Taught the boy every thing he knows... [grin]

Nice fish. Looks like your son had a great time. We need to get the youngsters into fishing as well as shooting. Job well done. [cheers]

Niiiice fish!

What kind of boat is that? Looks similar to a Sea Nymph bass boat my father used to have.

Swains Lake

Just got back from a week stay at Swains Lake in Barrington, NH. We caught at least 30 fish in all, with the largest of them caught by my 10 year old daughter.
