caught my first Pickerel today at Houghton's Pond. hard to take a pic of the fish by myself without hurting it. Really nice day until the wind kicked up.

Caught this one and drank it.

Was planning on posting some fish pic's from my trip to Jamaica Pond yesterday, but I got skunked. Fished from the west side to the northern tip and down the east side of the pond. Nothing. Was fairly windy and about 55 degrees. There was an old Asian man who had caught a nice little fat rainbow. I don't think I have ever caught a fish when it was windy.

Attended a fun tournament put on by a kayak fishing group i belong to yesterday in the Upper Mystics. Longest fish gets the trophy and the opportunity to pick next years spot. Water temp was 55 and windy.

Here i am with the longest fish @ 21 and 9/16

Also got a 1, 2 and a 3 pound LMB. Every fish was caught on a husky jerk.

I pulled this healthy little guy out of one of my favorite ponds last night. I can't believe I waited until I was in my 30's to buy a kayak to fish/hunt from. I love getting into all the coves/ inlets that would otherwise be impossible to get to without a 'yak.

Finally got the Quabbin boat properly registered, excise tax paid, all legal. First time out this year.
Got some 2 ish smallies, then bro got this little, slimy laker in about 20 feet on a Silver Buddy. (Dude, we're fishing for bass).

Later got this 4.2 smallie, also on a Silver Buddy.

And a while later, my biggest smallie ever, 6.9 lbs on a crankbait. Serious slaunch.

Those are awsome, Obie1. I've only been out once this season, and only briefly. But I do get inspired by looking at pictures of other guys' fish. (Hmm ... that didn't come out right) Maybe I'll wet a line this evening.

No pics from today but have managed to get the mrs hooked along with our two kids. We got skunked (again) at our favorite smallmouth spot in Goffstown and decided to move on and try for trout heading out towards new boston. Wouldn't you know it but the mrs out fished me tonight landing two rainbows to my one. Pretty sure our heavy lined gear may have been spooking them and since I can't fly sigh with the kids, I ordered a few ultra light setups to spool some 4# test on. Should be in on Thursday.
