Caught this on Sunday morning on a small pond in Oxford, Ma. Been fishing the pond for 20 yrs. Not the biggest but a decent fish. Caught on a 5.5" Strike King Shim-E-Stick.
I did have a scale but i wanted to get it back in the water so i didn't weight it. For reference i wear xxl size gloves

Striper fishing on Vineyard Sound with the kids. We caught 7 total, using jigs. 38" was the largest one. He's in the fridge with a couple of his buddies.

Saturday morning at 2:30 my son and I headed out, bound and determined to teach him jigging in the canal. Throwing 4oz heads with a sluggo , within half hour he was on. From there he picked up 5 fish all 28-33" , nothing big but jigging "the ditch" succsesfully at 12 years old is pretty damn good.

That's very good! Hell, I don't like to use jigs in the canal. I like lures that don't get snagged on the bottom so easily.

It took me almost 3 years (and a literal ton of lead ) to get a consistent feel for jigging down there. I couldn't believe a half hour in he was on..but he's been going down with me for 3 years now and knows that place pretty good. This trip was also his first time using his new Century 1328, but he's on the pro-staff for Century so he gets his high end custom rods free...the little bastard.

Got out friday for only the second time this year. Caught a bunch of 1.5 to 2.5 pounders and this one that was pushing 4 lbs. weapons of choice were a tandem spinnerbait and an orange/brown 3/8 ounce jig.

Was a perfect day on the water for a much needed therapy session!

Finally bagged a nice one this season! 47 inches and I would guess around 40 pounds of fat Striped Bass! Taken with eels on the drift at night. So happy I broke my old record!
