Took my Bushie 16" Carbine out to the range for the first time this year. Was cold and windy so I settled for re-establishing the 25 meter mechanical zero and a few 200 yard shots at the steel plate the club dropped at the far end of the range. The zero was close but needed some tweaking. My ACOG was actually much closer than the iron sights. It allowed me to make 8 out of 10 hits on the plate.

Here's a picture of my set-up:

Cool! I have actually been going to the range all winter long. I just dress warm, and don't plan on staying more than an hour or so!

Cool. Can I ask how hard it is to zero these rifles? I've read some of the directions (manuals downloaded online) and it seems somewhat tricky.

Thanks

Lugnut, check here for a sticky I posted ages ago on doing a battle-zero of an AR15. Different from the manuals, but it works and came from a widely respected career US Army officer (Ltc Santose) who did two tours in VN.

yummy...

Don't know why, no real reason, but I can't stand the way a collapsible stock looks. So that's a hot looking rifle.

Thanks, but I doplan on replacing the stock with an ACE Skeleton Stock. The only problem is that the nut holding the stock to the frame apparently is glued on also (per Mil Std according to Bushmaster) and is a mother to break loose!
