This thread is also on rimfirecentral but I figured I'd post it here as well
I started this build a long time ago (March 08) and never finished. Recently a friend picked up a 10/22 so I had to finish mine to stay on par with him.
I'm not sure what to think about my stock. Sometimes I think it's horribly ugly, sometimes I think it's ok so I am looking for opinions. I'm considering scrapping it and just buying a thumbhole stock.
The specs:
A really old 10/22 I picked up at a show.
Auto bolt modification
Bolt Chamfer
Takedown screw pillar
Power Custom competition hammer
Rimfire Tech adjustable sear kit
shockstop bolt buffer
VCL exact edge extractor
Meuller APV scope
Weaver scope mount
Burris Zee Signature rings
ER Shaw 18" blued barrel
Initial drawing with my 10/22T
The $21 tiger stock with screws in it ready to be fiberglassed
Fiberglassing mess
After a little bit of re-working
Mistake with the pillar. I pushed the drill bit too fast and it splintered the bottom of the stock. Need to glass over it and paint. Oh well.
After some more sanding
With the very used 10/22 I bought for the build
Somewhat finished at this point. The color combo I am really just not sure about
