If you have a good monitor, this is an excellent video about finding the USS Hornet, the carrier which launched the Doolittle Raid on Tokyo. They also show a 95 yo survivor watching the discovery. The research crew also managed to show the gun he was manning before the ship went down.

but it’s still crazy how well preserved it is.
i was amazed the those hoses on the aa guns looked like they were put on last week. still had their red color and looked pliable. don't know what they were though, hydraulic, oil or water lines.

Exactly! That’s what stood out the most for me, they looked new.

Here’s color video of 1.1” guns in action and you can see the hoses. . The last half of the video has a few shots.
