Feinstein Wants National Gun Registration in Wake of Fast And Furious Scandal

It makes perfect sense. If I want national gun control laws, the fact that my colleague's deceptive and murderous attempts to make it seem as if gun ownership is a problem should not discourage me.

If I believe that no citizen should own a gun, and I feel compelled to sell guns to criminals to prove that guns are dangous, then ensuring that all *legal* gun owners report their guns to the police facilitates my goal and reduces the need for me to arm criminals later on. Before I can take your freedom, I need an accurate inventory.

We need a national politician registry and GPS tagging system so we can identify/locate them at all times. Clearly politics in the wrong hands can be very dangerous and cost the lives of innocent people.

Let's start with her...

I can only think of the actions of a committed alcoholic who will do or say anything to get that next drink.

"Sure we gave guns to the Mexican cartels. Sure a US Border Patrol agent was killed as part of it. But we wouldn't have had to do that if guns were illegal." [thinking]

It's a smart move for her, considering her constituency. There's no downside for her in this:

Worst case: It dies on the vine, and che cries, "The Evil Gun Lobby was too stong!" and gets the sympathy vote
Best case: She gets it.

Even were she to personally fund Camp Perry, the ATA Grand and the Bianchi Cup, she'd still get minimal love, here.....

My opinion of Diane Feinswine will get a bunch of red asterisks on my post. She's a totalitarian-leaning, elitist, hypocritical ****.

But come on now, how can you doubt the good intentions of the elite? Unless you went to Harvard/Yale/Princeton you cannot possibly come close to understanding the complexity of governing the plebeians. Senator Feinstein is doing the best she can, (she only graduated Stanford), and if it weren't for firearms, she would never have been Mayor of San Francisco. Therefore, she blames firearms for having the burden of the office of public service.

Typical liberal position: Government corruption and malice are the problem, so the only solution is more government.

Seriously. Her votes are more of a threat to my life and liberty than all of the drug runners, illegals, and petty thieves combined. She doesn't just embody the problem. She is a non-trivial part of the problem.

Making a case for national gun registration, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said "... but she said trying to assign blame misses the larger problem.

The larger problem is that we need term limits for all elected officials from dog catcher on up. We already have them for President, but we need to extend them to every level of politician. I can't believe that the framers of the Constitution contemplated that there would be such a thing as a "career politician" when the wrote the document.

Time for a Constitutional Amendment to address Congressmen and Senators, and state laws to address state and local politicians.

we need to have the FBI investigate BATFE, while the BATFE investigates the DEA, while the DEA investigates FEMA and FEMA investigates CBO and the CBO investigates the congress, while congress calls the FBI for hearings.

Sadly, this is progress from them all scratching eachother's backs and looking the other way...

I'm not so sure that I like that argument as stated. Replace "career politician" with "assault weapon" and you'll see what I mean.

No we don't, we actually need to completely abolish every one of those agencies listed. They are nothing more than protective barriers for the elitist corrupt politicians. Its no wonder politicians feel they are above the law, they control all the enforcers and have appointed and or bought all the judges.

And they want to register MY guns? Not on my watch.

I'll LMNOpen the door for them as they all get booted out on their a$$es.

I figure if they're running in circles looking under each others' skirts, they'll be too busy to bother with us lowly citizens.
