In questioning Kavanaugh she is arguing with him that assault weapons are not in common use. He mentioned that there are hundreds of thousands of them. She says they are not in use, but in storage (f'n moron). That said, his response has been really wishy washy. Sounds like he's trying to avoid rocking the boat, but he clearly is not standing firm behind the second.

I'm pretty sure that given the super nebulous and ever-expanding definition of "assault weapon," it probably has already been expanded to include my 12ga O/U that saw some action at the trap field Monday.

She's basically lost all cognitive reasoning skills at this point and just reads the script her handlers give her.

The whole "hearing" is just a show for the Dems anyway. He will get confirmed.....and they know it. This is all grandstanding at this point.

Now....if Ginsburg would just die.....today would be nice .

Read his dissent in the DC Assault Weapons Ban case (2011):

"In Heller, the Supreme Court held that handguns – the vast majority of which today are semi-automatic – are constitutionally protected because they have not traditionally been banned and are in common use by law-abiding citizens. There is no meaningful or persuasive constitutional distinction between semi-automatic handguns and semiautomatic rifles. Semi-automatic rifles, like semi-automatic handguns, have not traditionally been banned and are in common use by law-abiding citizens for self-defense in the home, hunting, and other lawful uses. Moreover, semiautomatic handguns are used in connection with violent crimes far more than semi-automatic rifles are. It follows from Heller’s protection of semi-automatic handguns that semi-automatic rifles are also constitutionally protected and that D.C.’s ban on them is unconstitutional. "

Middle pic: e-Series 1911, xD45 and xD45 mod.2 on pistol day Saturday, along with the SuperRedhawk 44mag, GP100 357 and Lady Radtekk's "pretty" an SP101 in 38spcl.

Used the heck outta them too. Then they went back "into storage" for a while since cc'ing that many guns at once is a challenge.

So...if an AR or other semi automatic rifle or shotgun is in a civilian gun safe, it is an assault weapon. Take that same firearm out of the civilian gun safe and put it in a police vehicle it instantly becomes a patrol rifle or service shotgun. Play on words I guess.
