What is the process to legally remove an AG in Massachusetts? I can't find info anywhere.
*******the npr new policy is to take no more live opposing views unless they are "contextualized" -code word for edited to npr's advantage.
from breitbart news:
NPR listeners were apparently outraged that anyone from Breitbart News had been given an opportunity to defend the website and its chairman.
In her response, “Listeners: Two Recent Interviews Are ‘Normalizing Hate Speech’,” Jensen concluded that the live format had allowed Pollak to get the better of host Steve Inskeep.
She suggested that future interviews be taped: “In addition, in my opinion, these interviews should not be done live. Inskeep is an excellent live interviewer, but live interviews are difficult, especially when there is limited time. A little contextualizing never hurts.”
Can we make a Citizen's arrest for her violating the US Constitution?
She keeps dropping all these "constitution" references and "bill of rights"
I'm using quotes intentionally as she picks and chooses with a whim rights to protect.
The whole idea of the AG suing an oil company for fraud because they "knew about global warming" is just so so so wrong. It reminds me of the Italians arresting geologists for not predicting that earthquake. Or for the Libyans arresting a bunch of medical workers for "spreading AIDS". It's like she thinks she's been appointed chief enforcer for some liberal dictatorship. She is a danger to freedom and an embarrassment to our democracy. I hope she goes to jail for something soon.
It's ok for the cast of Hamilton to say shit about the VP-elect...cuz free speech and Constitution...bad for Pence/Trump to say anything though cuz.....islamaxenohomoraciphoiba & bigotry.
*******
Trump should cancel all funding for the "Public" radio on his first day.
She's just keeping herself in the national spotlight. Or at least the Dem-Leadership spotlight.
What is wrong is no one calls some of these d-bags for doing this. What she is doing violates her oath as a lawyer. She can't knowingly bring false suit. Yet no one would DARE challenge her on that. Her argument is a complete debacle of the law and everyone knows it. Call her on it once in federal court and all of this crap would go away. It's like lib's having no issue with candidates speaking at churches as long as the churches are liberal. ????
Attorney General Maura Healey must defend her probe of *Exxon Mobil’s climate-change policy in a Texas courtroom hearing that one prominent analyst says shows a federal judge sees “big-time political motives” in her use of power. The order issued by Judge Ed Kinkeade late last week, could compel a law-enforcement officer to answer a target firm’s questions in a Dallas courtroom deposition Dec. 13. First Amendment attorney Harvey Silverglate said it’s “very rare” for a sitting attorney general to be ordered to court for a deposition.

“It indicates that the judge suspects big-time political motives,” Silverglate told the Herald, adding he sees Healey’s probe as “political grandstanding .... There is nothing really to be gained here except to embarrass the company. There is no legislation in this country thus far making it a crime to oppose global warming.”

I know that some people lump all public radio and television together in one big bucket, but that's not really accurate. I find the reporting of National Public Radio (NPR) to be fairly even-handed, informative, not inaccurate. NPR has done a number of really good Second Amendment and gun rights type of stories. WGBH and WBUR are NOT NPR, they are affiliates. They carry these NPR stories as part of syndicated shows like Morning Edition and All Things Considered.
On the other hand, content like the David Brudnoy and Marjorie whatever-her-name-is show are NOT reporting, are not news, and are not NPR. They're nothing more than sophisticated talk shows where everyone, including the hosts, has an opinion. They don't claim to be neutral and they are not.
David Brudnoy was awesome (RIP). You mean Braudie
Looks like she is throwing the gauntlet down

Check out the end of the article. She clearly states she does not plan on going to Texas for the deposition. Wow, just wow.
Looks like Healey thinks she is above the feds and foolishly thinks she won't be arrested by US Marshals. She doesn't seem to understand that pissing off the federal judiciary isn't a career enhancement. Even liberal judges won't appreciate the disrespect she shows their institution.

I think you guys are misinterpreting her statement. I don't think she means that she is just going to ignore the judge's order. I think she means that she is going to appeal it and she thinks she will win the appeal.

Asked if she planned to go to Texas for the deposition, Healey said, "No, I don't, and we'll take it up on appeal."
