While visiting a good friend of mine in Kalamazoo, he got to be part of a curling outing sponsored by his employer. He was actually rather happy when I called him from the airport that my flight out was canceled due to lake effect, and that he'd have to come and pick me up. Curling wasn't him apparently, and welcomed the excuse to leave.

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree. Given the choice of watching one of almost 100 games during a season where any individuaI loss can be absorbed, or a virtual sudden death game where the the participants are playing for their county instead of a dollar, I'm not sure which one I'd consider "totally pointless".
I'll still watch the NHL, but c'mon dude: 1980's Miracle on Ice?? You can't watch that and tell me Olympic hockey is pointless.

There is the Broomstones Curling Club in Wayland. I hear memberships is like 20 year wait list. OK, maybe not that long. Membership is $525 annually. They do instructional and youth programs. I don't know if they charge to watch the women's events.

Harvard Sportsman's does some Biathlon events. It's an informal set of events and when there is no snow, they use 'other' methods to get the heart rate up. If you are a member, check the calendar. If you are not a member, WHY NOT? (^_^)

Sorry, I do not know of any local venues for International Sack Jumping.

2? Ft Kent Outdoor Center is the only one that I know of. Are you thinking of Ethan Allen in Jericho, VT?

Like most sports coverage, the worst part of the Olympics are the idiot 'commentators' which add nothing valuable and never miss a good opportunity to SHUT THE F------ UP!

I support Russian collusion at the Olympics. /because #science

    Hockey
    Curling
    Snowboarding
Ski's as long as it's not that cross country crap
    Biathlon
Honestly prefer winter Olympics over Summer.

I'm glad that Shawn White got the gold in the Halfpipe, but watching him drag the Flag on the ground behind him made me want to kick him in the teeth.

Been gone all week and hadn’t been able to watch anything until yesterday. Honestly I’ve enjoyed every event I’ve seen so far. Skeleton, slalom, curling, hockey, cross country, speed skating, figure skating, ski jumping, snowboard cross.

I really appreciate the skill and effort of the athletes. It’s also great hearing the stories of how some of them came to become olympians, and not just making it, but winning medals. There really are a lot of stories like Cool Runnings. People from countries with no infrastructure for certain sports finding ways to learn the sports and becoming legitimate contenders. It’s one of the best parts of the Olympics.

I really enjoyed the skeleton last night.

Sorry, but biathlon uses cross country skis.
