Brit snipers $3500, matched Ruski snipers $2395, SVT40 $2895, G41 $3695, K43 $2995, Garands $1500-$3000, M03/M03A3 $795-1500 (a nice 12/17 for $795), a lone Carcano 91/38 1917 Terni Cut down for $250 with stock cut out filled in. $5995 for the Johnson. Only thing I could afford would be the Carcano....An Italian should have one. It was missing the cleaning rod, which I happen to have in my gun cabinet.

The question would be are thier prices at least close to value?
Although some Garands can fetch a pretty pennie almost all I see in the wilds are cmp service and field grade mix masters.
Anyone know how they are on trade ins. I have a handful of older guns that i would trade towards something.

No vintage 1911s; there were 6 modern ones in metal. I didn’t spare a glance at the plastic guns.

10 foot long sign over the door “We buy, sell, and trade guns.”

They are good people but their prices seem a bit high.

But then, maybe that's the state of the market in MA these days.

For whatever reason, ex-CMP Garands always seem to retail at twice their purchase price.

They're prices seem to be even higher than Shooter's Outpost! And I thought they were bad. So my SVT40 is apparently worth more than twice what I thought going by this list! I wonder what they think an M1D is worth...

Their prices are super high, and pretty firm; trade-in allowances are said to be low. Other stuff is priced about average, give or take. Looks more like a museum compared to Four Seasons, but admission is free.....

Do lots of folks buy them from cmp to flip them? Serious question.
yes and when there was no limit , buyers would by as man as possible and parts swap to "correct" rifles. I knew a group of old timers who where still buying the 12 per year limit not to long ago between 5 guys 60 rifles per year . They cherry picked any desired parts . Sorted parts and corrected rifles and re sold them.
They had more time and money than most.
I know they slowed down when cmp started the HRA/Springfield luck of the draw and mew cmp wood.
Although I heard rhey did a recent field grade grab hoping for older parts?
They also have a nice collection of the CMP lottery buys of M1 snipers and other nice stuff.
One of these guys says hes been buying and selling garands since the 50s

We’re staying in Sturbridge yesterday and today. Will be stopping by a little hole-in-the-wall shop tomorrow...might get lucky

Anyone have a line on a surplus rifle crate or the plans to make one? I’ve become the unit armorer for my WW2 group; currently lugging 4 K98s to events

Traffic was terrible coming up through to sturbridge for me to have time to stop. Im gun broke anyway so does not matter.

You do not sign anything saying you will not resell a CMP M1 Garand. Now the 1911's are a different story.

Maybe that changed but I seem to remember something in the paperwork I filled out when I got mine years ago that was to that effect.
