Estate sale 1911 help.

Looks like it's not a Remington frame just the slide. From what I gather crown city arms was a cheap manufacturer in the 70s. I'd pass at that price.
 
Thanks. I just left the sale and posted on my iPhone not really conducive to doing research.
 
The slide is WWII Remington Rand but the frame is a poorly made...something or other. The first thing that jumped out at me was the reliefs behind the trigger that aren't really there... but if you squint you can see they made a poor attempt.
 
Thanks guys. I won;t be buying it. I really don't need one but would have picked up authentic WW2 1911
 
no expert but the WWII .45 i saw had "property of U.S. Government" stamped on the slide
 
ok, settled. make an offer of 10 bucks for the top half. with the info you gathered here you can say with confidence..."your pistol is a piece of crap, and here's why...."
