Looks like it's not a Remington frame just the slide. From what I gather crown city arms was a cheap manufacturer in the 70s. I'd pass at that price.

The slide is WWII Remington Rand but the frame is a poorly made...something or other. The first thing that jumped out at me was the reliefs behind the trigger that aren't really there... but if you squint you can see they made a poor attempt.

crown city, not on top of the quality game for sure. this frame looks like surface rust has been buffed off. ah well, next time.

I believe it was stamped on the frame, no?

There's not 400 of value. It's in poor condition and the slide is the only thing that has any type of value at all.

Pretty sure it was always on the frame. Prior to 1920ish it was on the left hand side and after that on the right.
