Erie Man Shot In The Buttocks By Three Year Old

A strange accident on the city's east side, sends one man to the hospital with a gunshot wound.

It happened Thursday night, about 6:30 in the 1600 block of German Street.

Erie police tell us, the man had fallen asleep in his bedroom, with his gun holstered, on his body. He woke to the gunshot, and found his three year old in the room with him. That's when he realized he had actually been shot. Police say they're not exactly sure how the gun went off, but they are ruling this an accidental shooting, and no charges will be filed.

Well, if I lived in the east side of Erie, I'd sleep with a gun, too. There's some seedy areas around there.

I had a friend in college who lived in that area. He had his apartment broken into at least 3 times.
