FREEZE & SQUEEZES - WHAT TO BRING

Freeze & Squeezes are not for the faint of heart. Guys, you may want to leave the kids and squeamish spouses at home for this one.

To help prepare you for the cold, there are a number of threads on the Appleseed forum you can check out. Here are some:

http://appleseedinfo.org/smf/index.php?topic=4796.0

http://appleseedinfo.org/smf/index.php?topic=4527.0

If you are properly equipped and stoked with protein (egg whites are pure, 100% protein), you will not be cold -- at all. Tony & I have been shooting all winter every Sunday at Jerry's place. We can even handle the wind chill days now. With enough layers and preparation, it can be done.

WALK-ONS

If you are thinking of doing a walk-on for this shoot, be advised, if not enough people pre-register, the shoot may be canceled at the last minute.

The Athol, MA, Freeze & Squeeze got canceled, so Enfield, NH, may be the ONLY New England winter Appleseed this year.

We need this shoot to happen so we can train winter Riflemen, so you would be doing everyone a big favor by pre-registering.

Heck, by the end of February, it'll be positively tropical!

is this a 22 shoot or high power, 25 yards?
thanks

Technically, this is not a "rimfire only" shoot, so centerfires are OK. However, I'm on the BOD of this club, and we are trying to coddle a troublesome neighbor. Rimfires would help the club.

Long story short, bring what you got. If centerfire is all you have, then bring it and 500 rounds per day. If you've got both rimfire and centerfire rifle, bring'em both. Then you can decide which one you can most afford to shoot 500 rounds/day, and shoot that one first. You can use the other as backup and/or for shooting after obtaining your first rifleman score.
