Just came across this advertisement on facebook of all places, no idea if legitimate, do your own diligence:
 
That might have something to it. EMP requires a collector like a long wire, and this (supposedly) dumps over-voltage (to ground I guess?) at a very, very fast speed. You can get lightning arrestors for radio equipment, but I don't think they can always react fast enough. I guess it's solid state? Maybe like a solid state switch/Thyristor? If it's not that much it might be worth a shot, of course sensitive electronics might still be toast if they have enough wiring inside them to have a large induced voltage from the EMP. I would still keep important stuff (NVGs, radios, etc.) in a Farday cage.
