So I got my new Raven Concealment holster for my P17 Gen4 today, so I thought I would share some quick pictures and do a review in few day.

"Eidolon" sounds like this holster belongs in "The Game Of Thrones," well if they used firearms. I did install both soft loops though for a better balance but you can just use one and works just fine.

That wedge thing in the last couple of pics is interesting.

That's the belt claw, I will take a picture of the wedge too which the rubber piece on the other side. I tried the holster with and without both pieces and it's like night and day. They both make the G17 grip disappear and keep the firearm/holster in place.

I was just regretting a holster purchase I made yesterday for a p2000sk when I saw that they only make two models of this and they're both for Glocks. [smile]

Did it play music when you opened the box? Like this kind of music...

After playing with my Eidolon for the last 90 minutes trying to set it up, I'm giving up for the night.
I'm too frustrated.

Raven needs to hold a class to help with proper fit. I'd pay for that

Are you having trouble building it? Or just adjusting it?

Well I just finally got it together.
So now it's adjusting.
This holster is my last hope for AIWB, and I'm slowly losing that hope.
I just don't think I'm built for it, everything just bulges too much.....

This will probably be for sale tomorrow.

Aiwb is the toughest to get right. Sorry to hear it's not working out

I'm with you JCV...I really want to carry AIWB but my body doesn't cooperate

AIWB isn't for everyone, but I'd be interested in seeing in person what the issues are for you guys because I may be able to help (for free, of course).

If you're ever at an NES/GOAL/Comm2A event, you could let me know in case I'm planning to be there too. I'll be at the Shoot-B-Q on the 20th, and I have a SIRT (training pistol incapable of firing a shot) that we could use for testing.

Or if you want to come to the Nashua area, including the bad side of the "Live Free Or Die line" (Lowell area), I'd be happy to see if I can shed some light on this for you. There may be something simple you could change that would fix the problem.

Feel free to PM me.

As an aside from this thread, one of the positive aspects of aiwb carry is how easy it is to draw while seated. Access is most definitely easy, but as I see it you are nearly guaranteed to sweep your legs when you draw and present. Thoughts?

When you talk about aiwb do you all mean straight up 12 o'clock? I carry a g27 iwb at about 1-2 o'clock. It's the only comfortable way for me to carry iwb without printing. My body type doesn't allow me to carry 4 o'clock without the butt of the gun sticking way out when I move around. I find that the gun points in a pretty safe direction most of the time, and when sitting I cant it a bit so it never points to my junk or leg. I do empathize about having to adjust it once in a while and sometimes that's not desirable.

I previously used a Bianchi professional 100 leather holster, but have switched to a Buzzard's Bay Tactical kydex holster (local south coast maker). Finally feel comfortable carrying one in the pipe with the kydex. It completely covers the trigger area whereas the leather one had a tiny space behind the trigger exposed.

Some people carry at 12 o'clock, but anywhere between 10 and 2 is generally considered AIWB (even though it's a good bet that your appendix is on your right side [wink]... lefties can do it too).
