If i trade firearms with someone else who already ran out of transfers.. The other party is paying an ffl for transfer. My question is can I transfer his firearm to me efa10? Or do both parties have to have transfers available? I've tried googling with no success

You are limited to 4 transfers OUT per year. You can't be in the business of "selling" firearms. So if one person is out, they will have to use a dealer to transfer the firearm FROM them TO the other person. If you still have transfers, you can transfer from you to him with an EFA10.

You can have unlimited transfers IN each year.

You can not transfer his firearm to you ( efa-10) if he is out of transfers. Did you mix up your question? You can transfer yours to him if you did not use 4, via EFA-10.

If hes pushing via an FFL there is no efa10 use for you to get the gun from him. You go to the dealer. fill out paperwork, pay fee, done. For your gun to him you can use efa10.

I wasnt sure how it worked. Now i understand my efa10 covers guns I own that i sell or trade to someone else.
As I buy or receive another fire arm it is there duty to transfer to me via one of their 4 efa 10's if they have none available just need to do it at an ffl

yup. the SELLER is limited to four personal transfers. you can BUY all you want.

I have a quick question that doesn't deserve its own thread. I filled out an eFA-10 form for an out-of-state purchase and the "Business Name" field for the seller ended up coming out blank even though I'm pretty sure I filled it in. Should I expect a rejection because the business name was blank? The address was there but the name and birthday were also blank because it was a gun store.

You're suppose to leave the seller info blank for out of state transfers - just register it that's all. I assume this was a long gun or C&R purchase?

All you have to do is put in your information, and the guns info. You are hitting the regesteration button. You don't need buyer info/

Even though the eFA-10 IMPLIES that you must put down where you got it, that is NOT required by law and VERY UNWISE to fill that info in. Just hit "next" (page) when that screen comes up and fill out gun info and your info as others stated above.
