Anyone know of good deals on authentic Smok TFV8 coils? I had Chinese knockoffs that leaked all over the place.

Why not use the RBA it came with. Much better than premade coils.

I do not vape but my wife does. I read hear that a coil lasts so long and has to be replaced. She has never replaced the coil and says it works exactly the same as ever. She has a Topbox Nano and runs out at about the minimum seeing, 25 Watts.

Is she using a worn out coil and not know it or does it simply last longer at a low setting?

I use RDA and RBA but the V8's seem to hit really well on my RX2/3

Coils don't "wear out" they gunk up. Eventually so much burnt on liquid sticks to the coil that they don't heat up very well and taste funny / burnt. People clean coils, or do a dry burn and break off the ash, and can get more life out of them. I have some ceramics that will go months before a need to change them out.
Coils can last 2 weeks, to two years, dependent on a LOT of factors.

Not sure about two years, haha. There comes a time when your cotton starts to decompose and stops absorbing.

Those kanger coils at low wattage should last maybe a month, maybe.

Unless you're using a RDA or a RTA, you need to change the cotton every few days or so. Then clean the coils and dry fire them and tweak them if need be.

Vapresso cCell Coils, No cotton, all ceramic. They last a LOOOOONG time. Probably not two years though, LOL. I was exaggerating a bit.

They'll still gunk up. Depends on how much sweetener is in the juice/flavorings, and how efficiently you're vaporizing the liquid (voltage). Some stuff runs better high, some low. I run just about everything at 4.2v.
I'm still on the fence about ceramic. It's been tried before, and failed. (vaping donuts) Every once in awhile someone comes out with this "great, new, revolutionary idea", and it ends up just being a gimic. Like how great of an idea temp control was. Yeah, it does have some benefits, but I'm all set heating up ni and inhaling it.

Just picked up a TFV8 this weekend, damn does that thing hit! Got a 10 coil head to put in it after the 4 coil one burns up that it came with. Bit over 6 bucks for the 10 coil head at a local shop, I will have to take a look at myvaporstore and see what they are getting for em.

The Q4 coils seem to be the best according to everyone I know that uses that tank.

Damn right, baby hits like a champ. I'm not a huge fan of the 4 coil, I am using one now as it is my backup. The 8 coil is a cloud beast, but you'll run through your juice faster. I almost picked up the 10 the other day. My go-to juice has been banana nut bread from sunshine vapes. It's a 50-50 and I love it. I recently picked up Galil from Cold Fusion and I may have a new favorite. It's a 20% PG / 80% VG so it's like silk when you burn it, but I seem to be going through it faster than any of my other juices and it's not one of the cheaper liquids out there.

This thing is killer. Nice air flow with warm dense saturated vapor.

Are you equipped to re-wrap batteries? I have a bunch of fairly new 18650s I can use because of nicked up wrapping on them.

Order Wraps your self its very easy just save the paper rings and use either a heat gun or a lighter and they come out as good as new. I personally like the clear wraps and number a set and wrap over the numbers so i dont mix them up

Do you carry any batteries that can handle more than 25 amps?

Hello everyone. New vaper here, 5 weeks vaping and not wanting to go back to cigarettes ever again.
Walked in a local shop and they helped me get a set up, kanger mini C, I like it a lot and think that it's a good starter kit but I think I'm growing out of it already. Went back to the local shop and they recommended the new Smok alien. There's 2 things that I'm hesitant about it, one is the size of the tank seems small, and the other one is the menu, looks complicated and to turn it off looks like you have to solve a puzzle. What do you think? Thanks in advance!

I haven't used the Alien, I am currently running the Wismec RX2/3 and love it. It's simple to use and powerful. Get yourself the Smok TFV8 to go with it, you won't be sorry.

Fuchai 213 is good too. A subohm tank will go thru juice faster so try to get the biggest tank capacity if you don't want to do a lot of refilling.

I am using the Alien now and it is a great mod!! The tank that comes with it is a bit small but still a great tank. I just upgraded the tank on mine to it's bigger brother, the TV8 and it holds a lot more juice but makes the whole setup much larger. If you get the Alien you won't be disappointed, and the menu really isn't that difficult to use. Love mine!

I just bought a new mod. Aspire NX75. This thing is perfect for sticking in your pocket. All metal construction and the quality feels real good. Worth checking out if you want a smaller mod.
