Vermont, of course has arguably the best gun laws in the United States while Massachusetts, not arguably, has some of the worst.

Every state in the country that has less restrictive gun laws always has a lower violent crime rate than states with overbearing gun laws. I wonder if the past 40 years of stats lie? [roll]

I go to school in the South and its true. There is less crime since you never know who is packing and who isnt, its kind of neat in a way since its the complete opposite of up here. The southern boys tell me they would never break people's property or try to rob people because for the most part everyone has a shotgun in their houses...

I went to Ole Miss...if that's south enough. LOL!

And I grew up in the South. One good thing about the South, people don't super lock up their guns. If you walk into my Grandfathers, he has a oak gun cabinet and the guns are in there. It's locked. But the only thing really standing between the you and the guns are a couple of panes of thin glass. But you wouldn't want to break the glass because it might mar the finish of some of the rifles. [shock]


And you can have a rifle in the back window of your truck and the cops don't care. Hell, most of the time if you get pulled over, they will end up talking about the rifle. Then ask you if you got anything this season.

I got to Wake Forest in North Carolina, not as southern as Ole Miss, but you still get the same feeling as Mississippi Im sure....

And, there were a couple of murders that occured in a drug feud this year, which is kind of unusual for here.
