Does anyone remember a book....

Back when I was a kid in the late 70s, a friend gave me a book. It was published by one of the now-defunct outdoors magazines, and it was called something like The Handbook of Rifles and Shotguns.

It was split into two sections - rifles and shotguns. It went over the various calibers, and included a section on how to sight in a rifle.

Does anyone remember this book, or have a copy? I lent my copy to a friend who never returned it. I'd like to read it again, but don't remember the exact name.
