I had to change out my flag today, brings many questions.

I was not able to serve. I have flown a flag every place i have lived.

I bought a flag at BiGY some number of years ago and I was very upset that the flag set cost near $50, it was memorial day weekend and I planned to display a flag. I was mad that the flag cost so much. I proudly flew that flag over camp for the long weekend. I also decided to fly the same flag on my home because the one I had was a bit worn.

I was very much impressed with the quality of that new flag. The old flag lasted many years of service, I think near 5 years day and night slapping against all the sharp points or the wood work and siding. flying a flag brings me a good bit of pride.

so I guess i was wondering how many of us fly a US flag. This may also be a plus one for Anninflags

I fly the Annin "Bulldog" which is synthetic with the feel of cotton. It's at half staff at the moment. I replace once a year and give to exchange students in a kthe ascommunity as a keepsake of their year.

Yup. I fly the flag. 25 ft pole and a spotlight on it to make sure it’s lit at night.

what poles are you guys using? i wanted to fly the american flag as well as a gadsen.

made the mistake of going from a 3x5 to 4X6 american flag and it bent my pole in half. this was with no gadsen.

I bought a 25' fiberglass pole from Arlington Flag and Banner.

    Arlington Flag & Banner

The pole I bought came in and the owner called me and said would I be willing to let this lady have it as her son was coming home from Afghanistan and she wanted to fly the flag when he arrived.

I said absolutely, of course, I was just getting a pole for my new house and was in no hurry. But on one condition: she send me a picture of the pole and flag flying when her son got home.

Well, she sent me a picture of the pole and flag and a letter thanking me and how proud her son would be to have seen the flag flying at her house, as he had been killed in Afghanistan, and she wanted the flag for the visitors she'd have at her home when he came home in a coffin for burial.

I look at that flag every Blessed day and think about all those men, young and old, throughout history who died for it. I will never forget that.

I have a Canary Yellow (Jeep probably has a different name) 01 Jeep Cherokee. Shortly after I bought it 4 years ago I ordered a Gadsden Flag decal for the back windshield. Probably should have measured first, it was WAY too big. So I put the snake on one side of the hood and the "Don't tread on me" diagonally up the other side. Zip-tied to rear of the luggage rack are a heavy duty American Flag and POW Flag. Across the top of the rear windshield left~>right are a 7/20 "Tyranny" bumper sticker, one from a t-shirt company that says "Live Free, Die Free" and a "Coexist" sticker made from gun and ammo components. Ya might say that I actually DRIVE the Gadsden:) On the telephone pole in front of my house is a car window style Gadsden Flag. My house is pretty easy to find...

I do the same as well, except I have a top down solar light atop the pole to ensure the flag remains lit at night.

I fly it all the time except when they predict winds of >50 mph. My Wife vetoed a vertical pole in the yard, so is is off one of those angle mounts on my front porch. The house we just bought has an angle mount and I plan on flying it there.

I fly 3 U.S. flags (3' x 5') front and rear entry doors and one on a pole next to the pool. All illuminated.
Sometimes, when I have been drinking, I swap the pool flag out for one of these...

    [IMG] [IMG]
    [IMG] [IMG]
... depending on what I am drinking and my overall attitude. YMMV

The only flag I have is in a display box in the living room. I don’t think I’d fly it, as it’s already been flown once. It flew over camp Victory, Baghdad, on Sept. 11, 2008. My brother was over there for almost a year and gave it to me when he got back.

I’d like to put a pole in with a light, but we rent.

GF vetoed the whiskey rebellion flag. One day I'm gonna get drunk enough and it's going up regardless.

As a few others, 24/7 sleeved on an angle pole on the front porch. Lit at night by the porch light.

Been thinking of a flag pole for the CT campground with a Gadsden flag.

I also have a collection of the Revolutionary War flags (Bedford Flag, Green Mountain Boys, Gadsden) that I fly on secondary poles off the house around Patriots Day

Where did you get that one? It's awesome.
