Hi,

I just bought these ultra-light Level IIIA plates from DKX, and they just arrived. It is unbelievable how light (and bendable!) these plates are. Has anyone verified they actually work. They feel like a piece of plastic covered in rubbery Rhino... Not sure I trust them, but they are verified, but still.

Anyone actually try them out by shooting them? I've looked for reviews online but only found ones for their Level III (rifle) plates.

it's only IIIa
good for defeating pistol rounds up to .44mag with some blunt trauma protection
they are light all right but IMHO if you are buying a west you better get one that will stop a rifle bullet too not just pistol. unless it's your everyday wear item and you do not perceive rifle threats

Currently considering Max III rifle plates

At $435 a plate, it's not bad, have you seen this video?
