Middlesex County DA is important, since it's the inside track position from which to run for AG. I don't think that Bristol County carries quite the same weight. I'd focus on Larry Frisoli for AG.

District Attorneys set the policies for the ADAs in their county. This includes firearms charges, which the ADAs I've dealt with have NO discretion to settle, per DA policy. ANY resolution other than a guilty plea or trial requires approval of the DA's office.

So, your local DA race does have some importance.
