DiFi just submitted another AWB

Let's review what happened with the last assault weapons ban. Clinton elected Prez in 1992, and Congress passes the Feinstein AWB in 1994 just months before mid-term elections.

Democrats lose 52 seats in the House giving Republicans the majority
Democrats lose 8 seats in the Senate giving Republicans the majority

This was in response to the AWB. Hopefully, if this Congress passes similar dross, we will see the same outcome. For those who don't remember, the only reason it passed back then was due to the 10-year sunset. So it automatically went away and had no chance of being extended in 2004.

One thought is to contact Dem reps in Congress and remind them of these facts. Tell them if you vote this in, the entire party will suffer so don't do it.
.
I have and always will believe that a gun control platform is a losing position.

People in this country value freedom, it is what our country was founded upon.
Taking a position that all guns are dangerous is a dangerous position.

People will eventually fight back.

Yeap. Even in NH Dominion is pulling the strings. Look no further than Windham where Dominion was stealing votes from the candidates.
It's been exposed that in many jurisdictions, between elections there is little security around the voting machines.
They can be tampered with.

Or....if some people were so inclined, they could find out what the lead time was on getting a replacement Dominion machine and somehow stage a mass disappearance or sabotage of these machines inside this lead time window.... forcing many precincts to resort to a more traditional, non electronic, non internet connected, China proof method of collecting and counting votes.
I'm sure there are people in key places that have the knowledge and access to pull that off. Think Fight Club, project mayhem. But we can't talk about either of those things. Forbidden.

They're standard capacity magazines. Let's not perpetuate their rhetorical bullshit.
Agreed. Soon, any gun with a capacity >1 will be high capacity. Then, if you own more than X number of rounds, that will be illegal too. "Who needs more than 5 rounds of ammunition?"
They'll also do what NY? does.... make it illegal to own a caliber cartridge for a firearm that you don't own (have registered with the gov't) or is that Britain?

What planet did you just arrive here from?
If it’s a losing position why are we constantly fighting an uphill battle and slowly having our rights chipped away every time.
perception is the reality. it was bred here gradually and now, with thousands of troops protecting the capitol, you`ve got what you deserved for your decades of inaction.
sad, but very true.

and, damn, to continue this rant - it is truly the 'only in america' classic style shit - after numerous, numerous times of CIA to perform such stunts across all the various places on earth, with an orchestrated 'insurrections' and then massacres of public that would follow-up with installations of an oppression regimes - when it got done in your own country you are still blind enough to see what the hell is going on. open your eyes. wanna go and protest now in front of an armed national guard? that`s where all your rights now. tell it to a military rifle pointed to your face.
that is your liberal paradise to live in from now on.

Normally I’d agree. But when you see that 43% of people in this nation have a favorable view of Socialism, the numbers aren’t trending in the right direction. Children are brainwashed and then as “adults” they are even further brainwashed at college and university. It is quite scary what is happening IMO.

I agree but let’s be real about this. In order to be brainwashed you first need to be weak in the mind. We have created at least half a country of weak minded idiots that believe anything. Those people need to start suffering unrelated and unanticipated consequences of mind numbingly dumb decisions such as gun control before they start seeing the light. People need to start thinking beyond the next five minutes.

scary will begin if they will do a next very logical step and make a program to place all those nice hordes of incoming migrant kids into military schools with a path to citizenship after serving.
and that will be the armed force that will deal with all the rest of us. life will tell, i guess.
dunno, i do not see much chances for anything good to happen in the next upcoming years...

It is estimated that there are around 20 million.......gasp.....20 million AR-15/type rifle out there right now. These laws, if passed, would be virtually unenforcable. All they would do is provide the police a reason to arrest you or search your home should you run afoul of the law by owing one and not registering it to their liking. Connecticut does that all the time. They pass a serious gun law and they file it away. You get pulled over for a broken light or some meaningless violation and that's when it begins.

Imagine a database with all the info they are asking for in this new bill. Guys with large 100+ collections would fill a small phone book. It would be so top heavy that it would reaquire a special department for the government just to manage it 24/7. There is no practical enforcement in it and the cost of managment would be into the 100s of millions if not more. Something may pass but it would be this. Connecticut wanted to ban and confiscate all 10+ hicap mags. The courts said fine but you've got to pay the owners fair market value based on the Constitution. The cost of that program killed it overnight. Finally, I wonder what the red-states will say if the Feds come rolling in and overriding the state Constitutions? That's not going to go over well to be sure.

If it makes it to Biden to sign in to law, here is what it will look like:

all they need for this is for dementia Joe to sign an executive order.

I cannot believe this isn't being portrayed as an attack on Amercian's freedoms. There has to be somebody in a position of power to speak against this.
Dominion fixed that. Move along.

And did the new majorities do anything to roll things back?

Did they fight for rights?

Without going back and reading about it all, my bet is on "NO".

It's fine. If she's really the one who introduced this bill, on her own, it won't see daylight. Schumer wants her gone almost as much as he wants McConnell gone. More, probably.

They stole the election with no consequences, why would they not then disarm their enemy. The enemy they also say they want in camps/dead.

Like they need another excuse to create a new agency and raise taxes? I don't think practical means anything to the gov't...
