    The truck carrying the fuselage from the 1958 TWA airliner got the flat tire while traveling on Interstate 495 near Boston.

    BOLTON, Mass. — The ‘Super Star’ Constellation got a flat tire Wednesday.

    Actually the truck carrying the fuselage from the 1958 TWA airliner got the flat tire while traveling on Interstate 495 near Boston, according to reports.

    The fuselage, tail and four engines are heading to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City to become a cocktail lounge at the TWA Hotel complex.

    I couldn't find the word jet in the article. What am I missing? I love the look of the Connie. Saw one in the flesh down in a museum in Maryland a few years ago....gorgeous!

    Wikipedia says the L-1649 had 4 radial engines. A turboprop version was contemplated but never built.

    Those gay flight attendants all the airlines seem to have now are really not going to fit in even if they wear the skirts, heels, and pillbox hats.

    Growing up I remember the "Connie" on RT 1 in Penndel pa. It was restaurant , later the plane was moved and restored as a muesum piece at Dover AFB Del. It was always a treat driving by it.
