D

daceman63

Fox 25 cricified her this morning for this. Said she's down 30 points in the only poll they have access to right now.

Healey seeks 1-on-1 debate with Patrick
September 27, 2006

Lieutenant Governor Kerry Healey yesterday sought to narrow the gubernatorial contest to her and Deval L. Patrick, saying she would welcome a head-to-head debate while also criticizing the ``noise" from her harshest critic, independent candidate Christy Mihos. Healey, the Republican gubernatorial nominee, said that she did not consider Mihos a spoiler in the race, but that his impassioned attacks on her Monday during the first general election debate clouded her efforts to contrast herself with Patrick, the Democratic nominee. ``I think it's pretty clear that either Deval Patrick or I am going to be the next governor of this state, and when people go to the polls, they deserve to know where we stand," Healey said during a news conference in Worcester. Mihos rejected Healey's criticism and said he planned to participate in all of the debates. There are at least three more slated before Election Day, Nov. 7. Each includes Mihos and Grace Ross, the Green-Rainbow nominee, who will also appear on the ballot. (AP)

What an ass...

Sorry... that is one of my biggest issues with her is the fact that IMO she was rude as hell by ignoring Mihos and the green lady... BOTH of which I felt had better answers then healey or patrick.

Looking at myfoxboston.com poll of the debat... veiwer picked the winners as Healey had 14%, Deval had 50%, Mihos had 31% and 5% for Ross.

Now that to me says that if Healey doesn't get off her ass and treat Mihos as a Real canidate... she will end up with less votes then him in the election.

he is definately running stronger than she is....

does that now turn her into the spoiler for Mihos?

have to wait and see.... maybe the people of MA are getting sick of BOTH sides and may just vote him out of spite...

But if he keeps going the way he is... he may actually have a real shot...

There are four candidates running for this office. I don't know much about politics but I think I know enough that you have to give each opponent the respect they deserve throughout your campaign. She has openly dismissed the other two candidates stating neither of the others have a chance to win the office and this race was between her and patrick. IMO she won't recover from this and she may end up with the least votes of all the candidates.

In regarda to Mr Mihos remember what happened in Minn several years ago when they elected Jesse Ventura who IIRC was given a snow balls chance in hell and won irealize that this is Mass but who know

Jesse Ventura and Arnold S. are anomalies! They are both Hollyweird heroes and thus can win regardless of what party/label they run under.

Average people like Mihos don't have that "name recognition" advantage or the "I'm voting for a 'star' mystique to draw votes.

Regardless of whether she thinks the others are legitimate or not it's suicide to publicly dismiss them. An idiotic move as far as I am concerned, and unfortunately I see a whole lot more Deval signs around here than I do Healy. About 10-1.

`I think it's pretty clear that either Deval Patrick or I am going to be the next governor of this state, and when people go to the polls, they deserve to know where we stand,"

It would be soooo easy for Patrick to use this against Muffy.

Patrick: "People know where I stand on the issues, and it does not include silencing other candidates. I welcome the opportunity to include all legitimate candidates and show people how I differ from them and how my programs will be better for the people of Massachusetts."

I'm Deval Patrick and i want your guns.

"I think it's pretty clear that either Deval Patrick or I am going to be the next governor of this state, and when people go to the polls, they deserve to know where we stand"

In other words, "Mihos is better then me and if I continue to ave to debate with him I will lose more and more votes, but not enough to get either of us in."

I drive 25 miles per day to work and back and the first time I saw a Healy sign was when I left my neighborhood going the other way. I've on seen Deavl Patrick signs through Westwood, Dedham, Milton, Dorchester and Quincy. No other signs at all. Of course I take the same route every day so for what it's worth.

Unfortunately... I see a CRAP load of Deval signs in Brockton... and on the Nice west side too... Stupid Demoncrats....

I did see a Healey/Hillman sign up today.

No Mihos signs though... or Fisoli signs either...

I have not seen one frisli sign. The only endorsement I've seen for him was on the GOAL site and some mentioning out here.

I must say, Mr. Patrick has impeccable timing for his run for governer. This state is ripe for a candidate like him. "White Guilt" is what's going to get Patrick elected in Mass.....nothing more nothing less. The stupid feelgood trustfund socialists(who don't pay taxes) are tripping all over eachother to vote a black man into office so they can feel all diverse and good about themselves. Mr Patrick is educated and articulate and is the first black man that has run that didn't sound like he walked out of a locker room. Ya..."social justice"!!!! "stick it to the white republican man".....what a crock of shit. This state is on its way out, and Mr. Patrick will slam the door behind it.
Please don't misconstrue my comments as racist... they are not. They are a snapshot picture of what is happening in Massachusetts today. This state is comprised of lots of students(who don't pay taxes), illegals (that don't pay taxes), welfare recipients (who don't pay taxes), trust fund babies, (who don't pay taxes) and Mr Patrick is viewed as the "Robinhood" of these people. He will ruin this state with his extreme socialistic views. For anyone here longterm, you better think about your future eight years from now.

Flame away.

Yep. 8 years? F*ck that. I'll be out of here long before then if this idiot is elected.

I wish he had a better chance than he probably has. Most people that I know are voting for him are Republicans who don't think Healey is capable of the job. None of them think he'll win or even care. I loved seeing Healey gulp down mouthful after mouthful of water during the debate. She KNEW her answers on immigration and the Big Dig left alot to be desired. Mihos made a point to say illegal immigrants in this country were law breakers. Deval and Healey were very careful not to offend anyone on the subject. TURDS !![frown]

I hope so. And I've thought so all along. Time will tell. Healy showed her arrogance, and that's one thing many voters in MA are sick and tired of, the arrogance of elected officials, who know better than we do what is best for the commonwealth. We vote, they ignore. Hopefully that's starting to change, as more and more become aware of it.

I'm voting for Mihos.[wink]

My yard sign is coming. My bumper sticker is on my truck.

I've seen Mihos billboards in Worcester for months now... not one Healy or Patrick one, yet, though.

As for Muffy... Damn, I hope she washes her toes regularly, 'cause I think she's tasting them right now. [rolleyes] Man, that was a stupid move...

Enjoy Governor Patrick. I'll be in NH by then. [rofl]

I must live in the right town. I've seen a lot of Frisoli signs in Somerville (of all places). He's running 2nd only to Devil Patrick as far as I've seen.

I can't say orange is my favorite color (Frisoli's signs are orange and white instead of typical red or blue) but they're out there. Keep faith!
