DFW extends pheasant season

To obtain a one-day permit, call the district office of DFW with information on where you want to hold your hunt. In the Western District, notify Tony Gola at 447-9789. According to Tony, "The permitting process is almost instantaneous. There is no cost involved, so the applicant can fax the application to him where it can be approved, and then faxed back.

It's extended by three months but you have to get a permit for each day you shoot??????

That doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Pheasants.

you need a permit each day you hunt.
you have to buy birds from MA approved vendors.
no bag limits, you can shoot what you release.

Hmm, I wouldn't really call that extending the season... I can do the same thing with much less hassle at a game farm.
