Do we really think the Democratic party wants these people getting good jobs, getting mad about taxes and migrating toward the Republican party?

They sure don't.

It's not just Dem-run cities. They screw up rural areas too.

Cities account for the vast majority of it. I remember seeing a study that found that violent crime was concentrated not only in a relative handful of large cities, but in a handful of zip codes in those cities. Of course, anything can happen anywhere, but most of it is in the cities. Throwing in "Dem run cities" is kind of bs since most of the population centers tend to vote Dem.

Population growth is the problem. It puts pressure on everything -- environment, energy consumption, personal freedoms, religion, you name it. Bad stuff happens in cities b/c when a lot of people live close to one another there is no sense of community -- everyone is just a number and there is no need to get along with your neighbor. In rural communities everyone knows each other and there is greater incentive to get along. Not saying rural areas don't have their problems, but start concentrating population and you always have problems. Will never change.

Exactly. If you deleted certain zip codes from states' crime stats, the stats would be much lower. My point was more geared towards the Dems just "messing up" an area rather than specifically violent crime though. Violent crime is what happens when people have nothing left to loose - if your (perceived) career options are to work at McDonald's, be a low-ranking drug dealer, an escort or whatever, people are going to choose the "job" that gives them the most profit with the least effort required.

You can get even more specific than zip codes too. If you actually track certain individuals, you can see which ones cause a good amount of the crime. It's a list of certain individuals. In a small town, it's probably less than a dozen.

Im sure thats true. Ive worked in property management and I know that probably 15% of the people in a building account for maybe 3/4 of the b.s. that goes on.

Policies are not doled out according to zip code. Democrats are of two types of people; the elitists that believe others need their help, and those that believe they need others' help. Liberal policies reward those that exploit them.

Yes they are, to an extent. Look at either political party. Has Charlie Baker came out and said "no more abortion, period."? No, because he knows it won't fly in Massachusetts even if he does personally believe abortion is wrong or right. On the flip side of things, does Bernie Sanders come out and plainly say "no American needs a carry permit or the right to carry or a pistol."? No, because he knows it won't fly in Vermont.

Policies come from people and groups. People know what they can get away with and what they can't.
