This class is being offered to qualified individuals seeking to enhance their handgun skills. This training event is appropriate for beginners and intermediate skilled individuals looking to develop effective self-defense abilities. Students will have the opportunity to shoot a significant number of rounds (500) while developing speed, accuracy and situational awareness.
Students will be challenged with stress testing including par times and multiple target scenarios.
Course Topics
· Firearms safety
· “Run-hide-fight” mindset
· Presentations from holster
· Precision shooting under stress (Par times with shot timers)
· Accuracy drills (trigger press, sight picture and sight alignment)
· Malfunction clearance drills
· “Point shooting” and CQB concepts
· Speed and tactical reloads
· Verbal commands
Absolute necessities for the course: a hand gun; complete familiarity with how to safely run the gun; a kydex or similar holster that covers the trigger guard; 3 or more magazines; magazine holder (nice to have); plenty of ammo (500 rounds).
Class size is limited. Cost: $100 for returning students, $125 for BSC members. ($175 for non-members). 50% deposit required to hold a spot.
About the instructor: Seth Wish is the founder of On Target Training, LLC. An accomplished marksman and passionate firearms enthusiast, he has spent thirty years developing his skills as a shooter and instructor. He has trained hundreds of responsible citizens in the safe, practical use of firearms. In addition to his normal classes, he worked as an instructor with several NH Emergency Response Teams.
He has attended and completed multiple training classes across the country; Including the Sig Sauer Academy, the American Small Arms Academy, Defense Associates, Trident Concepts and Todd Green’s Pistol Training.
