The decapping pin fell out of the sizing die. 550b 45 ACP. The groove at the top of the pin looks like it needs an o ring or something like that. Do I need to buy a new pin? Thanks

Never used one, but a cursory Google search shows images of what appears to be a c clip holding the pin inside the die. Could be that yours is missing?

EDIT: I'm seeing pictures of them with c clips holding the pin at the top, cotter pins holding them, and a carbide one that threads in and then has a lock nut so you can set the depth of the decapping pin.

If it's a Dillon die that is a clip at the top. It lets the pin snap down and shake off the old primer. I load a lot of .45acp and keep a few of those clips on hand. I get them at the hardware store.
