    This song

    On endless loop

    Played over an outdoor stereo.

    He'll beg you for mercy.

Interesting conclusion from that post, but way off the mark.

    Way off what mark?

You could just have said "oh yeah, I forgot I wrote that."

Anyway, good luck solving your neighbor problem.

It would seem that your lights alert the neighbor to when you're outside, so he's at least onto a tip that will give you silence next summer.

While annoying it could be a lot worse. I have lots of stories about bad neighbors growing up in Brockton. #whitepeopletownproblems "My neighbor is blasting Sinatra" "And he is out of Grey Poupon". [rofl]

No worries. And i did forget i wrote that. I can see how you'd draw that conclusion from what i wrote, but my read of the situation is the lights going on (2 25W sconces outside of a slider) was interpreted by the perp to be an opportunity to be annoying.

Anyway, talking with this guy is useless

It's a crying shame that your neighbor plays the music so loud, to drown out the sounds of the debauchery going on in his basement.

It's even a bigger crying shame that all the neighbors found out some how.

    You could also run a garden hose from the inside of your house outside;
On the coldest day... cover his car in layer and layers of ice till it's like 6" thick. ;)

So I was, rereading this thread, having forgotten all about it and my suggestions, when I had another thought. Drone. Buy a decent drone that can deliver a small, light payload. Then, drop a few tennis balls into every vent pipe coming through his roof. Whole house will smell like sewerage in no time, and it will take a while to figure out what the problem is.
If you really want to make a statement, drop a bunch of tinfoil balls. The first remedy he will try is a big batch of Drano.

^ that's some seriously precision flying. Not civilian level. Funny AF though.

OP, just telling you....if you remove the muffler from a chainsaw and tie wrap the throttle wide open while it's running....it's pretty damned loud.

If you buy a yard sale skil-saw with bad bearings, plug it in and do the same with that.....another very loud source of noise.

Depending on prevailing winds, you can probably pick up a junk car, pull a plug wire or 2 and let it belch very unpleasant exhaust next door wit a brick on the gas pedal....

then doante it to the next NES shoot. Profit.

Well, we will just have to start a new one! But I will re-read it in total before starting.

It is also very effective at controlling others.

The Christians can complain all they want about unflattering media portrayal, but it is the Muslims who have managed to dictate editorial policy in many newsrooms and publishing houses. No editor responds to a carton with "We can't run that, the Christians do not allow it."

Sounds a lot like my neighbor a few houses up from me at the top of a hill. Blasts music out on their deck during that same 1-930 timeframe - you live in Gloucester by chance?...[laugh]

Even worse is that they usually play the same f****** songs on a continuous loop apparently.

This past saturday my nextdoor neighbor decided to do some weedwhacking at f****** 6am!! I'm like seriously?!? She's a b**** and literally has no life beyond her house/yard. She usually waits until later in the morning for yardwork but not on saturday. My wife and I were livid.

    People suck. That is all...

I'd be curious as to OP's town. I've never seen a town without a noise ordinance either in standard ordinance or written into building code/zoning.
