Dash Cam: Canton, OH PD "Notification" Arrest & Officer Goes Berserk

Thank God he's back. People were starting to let their guard down.

One thing I am really looking forward to in the next financial collapse is the end of the special class of government workers. LEOs take the brunt of criticism because their failures often involve abuse of power and direct violation of the rights of the commoner. But across the board, this system is so rotten and corrupt it is beyond saving. Where government employees are next to impossible to fire, receive ridiculous benefits and retirement plans, are overpaid, are under-worked, allowed if not encouraged to do the bare minimum we might imagine some form of solution. But we are past that.

Now we have a special class, where the dream is a sad exchange of all of life's potential for the guarantee of privilege. Step up, young man, trade all of your entrepreneurial spirit and innovative ability and big government will assign you a pay grade. Your financial subsistence for life is assured with near irrelevance to how you perform. And every day hence, you will be surrounded by men who accepted the same bargain. You will turn to believe yourself a victim -- your trade a "service" to the commoners on the outside who pay your wages, guarantee your salary, but have no such guarantee of their own. With tens of millions who take this trade and millions more who aspire to it, we have the culmination of government as true big brother. It is no surprise that the most reliable supporters of government excess are those government employs.

Has anyone noticed how government leaders and politicians have come to elevate this special class with every opportunity? How any press conference or minor announcement is a staged event with all manner of government employees surrounding the podium (Bloomberg loves this format)? While the damage of Sandy was still underway, the first words we heard from every government man were praise -- for government. The first responders were heroes. The bureaucrats were doing great work. They all were inspiration in the midst of the storm. It would be sad and ridiculous to see this show day in and out if it were not taken so seriously by the media and the common man. Americans, it seems, truly believe they need this lot for their very survival. When, in reality, it is the same that will bury this country.

Economist, you need only look at the federal, local and state spending relative to GDP above 40% to see that we have long since passed that point. The only thing missing is complete despair of those still working in the private sector causing them to intentionally give up seeking success as they know it will be stolen from them.

The budget is already on the books and will kick in next month if not repealed to ensure this final step occurs. Ther will be no meaningful reward for anything outside of increasing your political connections which as we know is not an economically productive activity.

The circular decline of the market - less production means less wealth, less wealth means less consumption, less consumption means less production will begin in ernest shortly (though it is already well under way as I type) and that 40% even without increasing in absolute dollar terms will quickly double and more in relation to "private activity."

The KGB was not wrong that we could be hung with our own rope, if only we we willing to tie the knot ourselves. We have. That knot is socialism and its grand lie.

The cop was a tool and should be fired.

Granted, that dude A) didn't really speak up (I never heard him told to be quiet in the car at first) and B) Was hanging out with a hooker. Dumb.

That's clearly a guy I want to carry a gun, and protect people.
For god's sake, this guy has fantasies of EXECUTING people. What exactly does it take to get a cop fired? Obviously, killing someone, threatening citizens or shooting dogs is not enough. So, what does it actually take?
I saw that movie where Rob Lowe played that cop who whacked two of his wives. At some point, he threatens his neighbour and tells her "I'm untouchable, bitch". I think that's really the mindset some of them have.

To quote this numb skull DB's own words. "If I see another one of these idiots I'm going to lose my mind". Another tuff guy who's really a bully and a pussy. I'll say it again when the SHTF these guys will run for their F-ing lives. They are paper tigers. The citizenry is growing to despise them. This guy is the real dummy in this scenario, no question and the other cop should have dope slapped him. He placed him in harms way.

Good. This A-whole was an embarrassment to not only LE but to all Americans. These attitudes have no place in a public position. I actually feel for him. It's not nice to poke fun at the mentally inferior. Enjoy retirement buffoon.

This is why this stuff happens in the first place. They know they will get away with it. That clown should be destitute and in prison. Instead it's a pile of money -- and, worst of all, he gets his stupid ****ing little "I was a LEO" badge to flash around so he can carry all over the place.

Do that teach that calm demeanor at the academy? [rolleyes]

We will keep seeing this type of activity, various forms of police brutality, corruption and general thug activity until they are personal held responsible both financially and with their liberty. If they started getting charged and faced civil lawsuits, there was be a massive change in their attitude and the way they relate to people.

They are on a pedestal and need to be knocked off it.

not enough. he got $40k and a neutral job recommendation? he should be ****ing homeless living in a dishwasher box

You do realize those two things are nothing considering he is being allowed a retired LEO ID. The ****er can carry in 50 states and DC but we can't.

A year ago, an arbitrator ruled the city did not have sufficient grounds to fire Harless and that he should be reinstated if cleared by medical professionals.

And he's hired for his judgement? Some arbitrator.

Did anything happen to his partner who stood by and watched? He should be fired too.

Harless will receive $40,000 from the city, a neutral employment recommendation and a retired officer ID in exchange for his resignation

Doesn't the retired officer ID allow him to carry nationwide if he meets a few other requirements under federal law?
