Dartmouth holds drill for 'active shooter'

5-8 minutes means a LOT of dead teachers/students before the nut-job is captured/put down.

I'm sure we could come up with a better solution, putting less kids at risk... Actually, can think of a few things in the time it took to type this out. Auto-locking doors once the red button is press is just one item. Of course, armed teachers would also go a long way. But we all know how well THAT will go over in the PRM.

I have drills for active shooter scenarios all the time. I call the "draw and dry fire" and "range time".

They probably came up with this diversion too show how sensitive they are to guns on campus after denying a woman being staulked a firearm for protection. Duechnozzels.

Those dastardly Dartmouth College evildoers got the Dartmouth, MA police to hold a drill to show how a Hanover, NH college is sensitive to guns on campus? Never saw that coming.

P. S. The evildoers word is not sarcastic. Just to avoid any confusion.

Couldn't they cut that response time down to approximately 0 minutes if they offered firearm training for teachers?
