Friggin truck won't start this morning, tried remote start, nothing, went out and tried it with the key, can hear starter engage but nothing. Called roadside assistance and jump was a no-go, tapping on the starter was a no-go in fact battery looks good...waiting for the tow truck now. 2019 Silverado with under 19K miles....so f***ing pissed right now [frown]

Wife's RAV wouldn't start last week. Strange. I really like and dislike pushbutton starts. This one would sound like it was choking a granny then stop and beep like the dickens.

Told her to call AAA and had to get to work. AAA came in and stepped on the gas pedal THEN hit start. BOOM! Started right up. Some sort of vapor lock. I used to get it in my Tundra if I ran the car cold for less than a minute. That's exactly what she had done.

So I feel your pain. But her RAV is a 2014. And due to go bye-bye (just too many things "wrong" with it) next Spring.

Some experience with my 14' GMC Sierra 3500HD Diesel - Had dying batteries (uses 2) I didn't think they were linked together but they are. I would barely be able to start and eventually charging, jumping wouldn't do it. Two brand new batteries and she starts up like instantly. Sometimes the battery is so dead it can't be charged or jumped and needs to be replaced and things will be good. Good luck.

Typical piece of shit GM. I have a 2017. Truck is a toilet. Had a tranny put it in 32,000. Radio didnt work properly for the first month. They couldn't figure it out then It just fixed itself. Lights out behind the climate control. Temperature gauge stays pinned on 260.

Don't forget any number of things in the fusebox. Hopefully it isn't like my 14 that had to be towed to the dealer 3 times before they traced it to a bad ground behind the A pillar.

Good point. I always go to my barber for auto advice and I'd never listen to a mechanic.

You always have brilliant insight on these threads.
Yeah he’s a brilliant mechanic all right. He still working on cars propped up by cinderblocks in his back yard?. There are way better guys on the inter-webs then Scotty.
