NOTE This Year it's Sunday June 9 2013 starts @ 9am

fyi guys -

Leominster Sportsmen's Club is holding a "D-Day Vintage Service Rifle Match" on June 6th. It'll be any WWII battle rifle with "sustained" fire, 40 shots in 5 minutes @ 100 yards. Shoot from any standard position you like best- Prone, sitting, kneeling, or offhand. Cost $5. First relay starts at 10 am. Bring your rifle & 40 rounds in clips/mags. (Garand, Carbine, '03, SMLE, Mauser, etc., slings OK, no scopes, no sighters.)

Though it's a fun shoot, we'd like to Remember the Brave Men who carried these rifles while Fighting for Freedom. Instead of prizes, we would like to donate the proceeds to the Leominster WWII/Korean War Memorial Fund for the new monument in Carter Park
(100yds south of Jct Rtes 12 &13)

"D-Day" Rifle Match at Leominster Sportsmen's Club
1455 Elm St. Leominster MA 01453 Leominster Sportsmen's Association

We're doing a Rapid Fire Rifle Match on June 9th. It'll be any repeating rifle with "sustained" fire, 40 shots in 5 minutes @ 100 yards on SR-1 targets. (like 4 rapid fires in a row) Shoot from any standard position you like best- Prone, sitting, kneeling, or offhand. Cost $10. First relay starts at 9 am.

You'll need your rifle & 40 rounds in clips/mags. Any repeating rifle you have enough ammo for is fine – 22’s, AR’s, Garand, Carbine, '03, SMLE, Mauser, Nagant, etc., slings & scopes OK, no sighters. Bayonets & accoutrements optional.

Though it's a fun shoot, we'd like to Remember the Brave Men who carried these rifles while Fighting for Freedom. Instead of prizes, we would like to donate the proceeds to the Johnny Ro Veterans Memorial on Mechanic St. Johnny Ro Veterans Memorial Park

WWII MOH WINNER Walt Ehlers and his M1 Garand

Walt Ehlers is the only living Medal of Honor recipient from the Normandy invasion. In his dreams he still sees his brother Roland, killed that day.
“The beach was 10 times worse than shown in “Saving Private Ryan,” he says. “They couldn’t possibly show (the reality) in a movie.”

OK Your post says JUNE 9TH but the flyer says June 6th (and the name of the flyer is titled "DDAY MATCH 2013"). So I am going to assume that this year it is on the 9th and that your flyer was simply not updated.
