Was just wondering after reading the FS thread on ammo. 9mm that 2 years ago was at 9.99 or maybe 10.99 for 50 is now at 18.
How much has Federal/etc. increased the price to the dealers vs. how much have the dealers just increased their profit?
And does anyone know if the manufacturers are really cranking at full capacity, or are they starving the market a bit?
I have no clue how many bullets were made per week say 1 year ago vs. now. How much went to Feds/LEO/Consumer vs. today. Would love to see this chart. We have pulled tens of thousands of military out of middle east that had to using up bullets at a rate much faster than consumers here could hoard them.
I personally think after the upcoming vote in congress for registration passes (just my opinion that it will), but AWB and capacity don't even get voted upon or aren't even part of any bill, a lot of the furor dies down, availability of ammo goes up, and prices go down. Just MHO.
