I was driving back home from a 2 week cross country trek Saturday and as I was driving on 91N through Holyoke, I briefly saw what looked like a very large building on top of one of the higher hills to the Northeast of 91.

Can anyone satisfy my curiosity as to what it was or was I seeing things?

Very cool place not a bad hike up or auto road is open in the summer. Due to lack of funding or maybe redirecting it to illegals the house is not open to visitors anymore. But you can still sit up on the porch and take in the views on a clear day

It used to be a whore house. Most mountains used to have whore houses on top, and trains that took people there. Bitches got pissed and most got burned down.

Good, so now I won't feel guilt for high jacking your thread.

There is a large building with a white roof in the hills on the eastern shore of New Found lake. Anyone know what this building is? The thing is huge, it can be seen from many miles away.

There's a monument up there where a B-24 Liberator struck the hill too.

Mountains have whores. Is that like bridges and trolls. It’d be bad to get drunk and screw that up, eh?

“Man, I hooked up with a real troll last night.”

‘Oh come on man. It couldn’t be that bad.”

“No. I mean a real troll. I wanted the mountain but hit the bridge. Boy was he pissed.”

It's a nice drive or steep hike straight up.
Used to have great views back in the 80's but now its all overgrown with trees, some views can still be had, at least from the house.
Stop at Barstow Farm Dairy story at the base, you won't be disappointed.

Just East on the same range is the NORAD bomb shelter from the cold war, was still active when I was a kid, but now a book depository for Amherst College.
Was always cool to be hiking through the woods and come across a 10 foot high razor wall and have German Shepards coming after you.
