Hopefully they are socially-distancing while protesting. Or being out of work will be the least of their troubles.

Jet engines are big fans, right? there are fans in respirators....why can't they retool from jet engines to life jets to respirators? \

I mean....what could the re-tool cost...amiright?

If the union agrees to pay for the retool through wage concessions, I think GE should go for it

Doesn't GE already have a medical devices division?

Turbine blades designed for jet engine speeds and conditions don't directly translate to ventilators.

Yes* And they are partnering with Ford to make ventilators.

*It may be that GE spun off or sold the medical products with the trouble they are having.
